Country Rental Index Summary

  • The monthly deltas have seen a large fall this month with overall UK rents increasing in the month by 0.36% which is the first time we have seen a monthly increase this small since March 2021. The only country monthly delta to increase was Northern Ireland which has showed a slight uptick this month from 0.2% to 0.26%, although last month’s monthly delta was the lowest for Northern Ireland since February 2019.
  • All annual changes in rents decreased this month with Wales showing the lowest decrease and then highest annual change with 7.03%. This is the first time Wales has had the highest annual delta since May 2022.
  • The gap between Wales and Scotland appears to have been closing for some time now. Currently rental prices are only £56 different with Welsh rental prices at £878 and Scottish prices at £934.
