County Level House Price Index Summary

  • 13 of the 34 London Boroughs have negative monthly price changes and 12 have negative annual changes. City of London obtained the lowest monthly change with -7.91%, but it was Kensington and Chelsea with the lowest annual change of -5.41%. Westminster has for the second month in row overtaken City of London to become the second most expensive London Borough behind Kensington and Chelsea.
  • Aberdeen City had the lowest monthly change with -11.83%, which was driven primarily by price changes in Flats. This has more than undone the recent price increases we have seen for Aberdeen City which is a county that has seen the highest number of annual and monthly price decreases on record. Aberdeen City also has the lowest annual price change (-13.53%)
  • The highest annual price change for the second month in a row goes to Darlington (13.1%) which is driven by the strong performance of flats and terraced properties in the area.
